How We Can Achieve Your Goals

What is a Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP)?

A Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) is an investment vehicle that allows Canadian families to save for their children’s post-secondary education. The principal benefit of an RESP is that the savings plan can earn government grants like the Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG). You may also be eligible for additional provincial government grants that could add thousands of dollars more to your plan.

Rising Cost of Post-Secondary Education

The cost of post-secondary education for a child born in 2013 could rise to more than $140,000. Some reports even indicate that the cost of education is increasing at three times the rate of inflation! Are you prepared for the ever-increasing cost of education? You will be with a Registered Education Savings Plan from Global.

Basic Canada Education Savings Grant

The Basic Canada Education Savings Grant will give you 20% on every dollar of the first $2,500 you save in your child’s RESP each year.

Canada Learning Bond (CLB)

Children born on or after January 1, 2004, can be eligible for the CLB. The CLB consists of a $500 lump sum, plus an additional $100 per year until the child turns 15 years old for a lifetime maximum of $2,000*.

Additional Canada Education Savings Grant (A-CESG)

Depending on your net family income, you could receive an extra 10% or 20% on every dollar of the first $500 you save in your child’s RESP each year.
